A Prize-Winning Object Born from a Clever Idea

Hedgehog is a conceptual book-holder born from a design competition—and ultimately became its winning piece.
The idea was simple: to create a form that respects the inherent qualities of books while solving everyday usability challenges.

This design exploration led to the product’s recognizable silhouette and its distinctive blade-like fins that securely hold books in place. Although the path to production was filled with technical obstacles and countless refusals, the final prototype emerged stronger, sharper, and more refined.

Our vision is to manufacture an edition that perfectly mirrors the original concept—precise, poetic, and functionally elegant. We know it’s challenging, but we believe it is possible.
