A Birthday Gift That Came to Life

Scorpion is NewStudiow’s first completed chair—an object that began as a spontaneous birthday gift sketch.
Originally drawn on May 5th, 2024, as a few simple lines on paper, its silhouette resembled the fluid tension of a scorpion, inspiring its name.

The prototype took several weeks to build. Early versions were heavy and included sharp edges, but through continuous refinement, the chair shed its weaknesses—just like a scorpion shedding its old shell.
Today, we have two Scorpions, each evolved, balanced, and ready for functional use.
Don’t worry—none of them carry venom.
